Automated Calls & Automated Polling
Call our recording line and record your message(s). If you don’t want to do the recording yourself you can have someone else record for you or we can record it for you at no additional cost. You could do a robocall announcing a mailer that you just sent out or invite voters to your campaign kickoff. Let’s say that your opponent goes negative just before election day with a mailer…you can call in and record a reply and let voters know that what was said was untrue and to not be misled by last minute negative smear campaigns.
We will help you with a script and you can record or we can record it for you at no additional cost. “If the election for City council were held today and the candidates are Joe Smith and Lisa Jones for whom would you vote? Press 1 for Joe Smith or Press 2 for Lisa Jones. You can do a simple one or two question survey or as many questions as you would like to ask.
Organizations can use this technology to communicate with members, for purposes such as issue notifications and grassroots organizing.
Press 1 to be transferred to your elected official or Press 1 if you would like a yard sign.
With this technique, respondents are instructed to press a digit that will allow them to be transferred to an elected officials office in order to ask them to vote Yes or No on specific legislation.
This same technology can be used for you to record a call and ask voters if they would like a yard sign to please Press 1 now. And then you or your volunteers follow up with the voter.
More and more campaigns are using texting to communicate with voters. These are texts sent out by live callers.
SMS – This is a text without a graphic. You can have a link to your website or a link to your video, but NO graphic. The max number of characters is 306 and must include your disclaimer and “Reply stop to opt-out” wording.
MMS – This is a text with a graphic up to 725KB in size OR a video up to 50-55 seconds long. You can have up to 2,000 characters (ideally 400-600 are best). If your message is too long, you run the risk of voters not taking the time to read the text. The max number of characters is 2,000 and must include your disclaimer and “Reply stop to opt out” wording.
An easy way to count characters is just go to www.lettercount.com type in what you want, and it will count the characters. Then you can edit, copy, paste that information, and email to me with your cell number and we will send a test text to you so that you can see what it looks like before we send it out.
If you are doing an MMS, here are some specs that may be helpful if you have someone who is helping you out with the video:
When we send out the texts the Caller ID number will show up as coming from the area codes that are in your list of cell numbers. If you do not have a list of voters, let us know and one can be obtained for an additional cost.
Whatever people text back to us we capture that information, and you get back that information along with the opt-out requests that are automatically removed so they do not get anymore texts from you. Some people will text back nasty things but that’s just how things are these days.
We can even do a TEXT SURVEY:
Hello, this is ____ and we are asking voters who they will vote for in the race for County Commission District 5. Joe Smith or Nancy Evans?
Reply 1 for Joe Smith
Reply 2 for Nancy Evans
Reply 3 for Undecided (you do not need to have an undecided option)
Paid for by Friends of Joe Smith
Reply STOP to opt-out
Ideally, if you can email us a sample script and list we will run your list through our system and let you know how many landlines and cell numbers and give you a price for your live call campaign. Some candidates only want to call landlines and some only want to call cell numbers. Costs vary based on if we are conducting a survey or just a simple 30-45 second GOTV call to a live person with a “Can we count on your Vote” question and a separate message to voice mail, “Hi this is Lisa calling on behalf of Lisa Smith for Commissioner, I’m sorry I missed you today…”
Our live callers are all U.S. based.
Our state-of-the-art technology includes the following features:
Will my message be delivered to both live and answering machines?
YES
Can I record one message for live and a separate message for machines?
YES
What about cost?
No set up fees or hidden costs. The price is based on message length and the number of phone numbers called. Please email us for a free quote.
What about turnaround time?
Email us your list, call in and record your message, make payment and then let us know when you want your order to go out.
What about confidentiality?

What are legal calling times?
In most states you can call from 8am to 8pm. We would suggest your calling times be after 10am and not past 6pm. You might run the risk of upsetting voters by calling past 6pm, but that is up to you.
Do you call cell phone numbers?
NO, the FCC says you cannot deliver a robocall to a cell phone. number. Some firms do, we don’t.
Do you provide calling lists?
Yes, for an additional cost a list can be purchased on your behalf. Let us know the specific office and Party if not a non-partisan race that you are running for and we will let you know what a list would cost.
By providing your phone number, you are consenting to receive text messages from PMI, Inc. / Win An Election. Msg & data rates may apply. Message frequency varies. Reply STOP to opt-out, Reply HELP for help.
